Textiles

I have just finished two new style books for my folksy site. I have sourced spiral bound books as I thought these might be useful for those who have bits and pieces to stick into journals.
Also got some small sample pieces of hand stitching on the go and bits and pieces of other experimental work, which I will put on tomorrow. I have just started knitting a hat and would like to get the first part started before everyone returns home.
So will leave you with my new projects.

Exciting

I had the house and more importantly the time to myself today. I have been busy making curtains and a ball dress, so this was free time.

I wanted to get on with some fabric printing. I had a wonderful time.Starting with a taped frame, printing through that and then hand painting the white bits in between.
It took most of the afternoon, it becomes very absorbing and exciting. I love the way the colours blend. I mix up colours that by themselves look quite vivid but once put next to or on top of other colours blend in.

I will make these into covers for the artists sketch books that I sell on folksy.

I found these the other day in my stock! So gave them a bit of an upgrade and listed them on folksy.

I am glad I got the hen and duck houses painted yesterday, slower to heat up and not as warm today.

Now tomorrow I have set the morning aside to make a pair of curtains for my sister. Not a big project regarding size but big because we have chosen to put interlining in them and use those eyelets in the top. I can not and must not put this project off any longer!! No I have written it I am committed!

Make up roll or pencil cases

I have been busy finishing some flowers and hearts, I still have to photograph them.

The other task I have been doing is to get to grips with a new website I have found. http://www.folksy.com/ It is a Uk site, I think, least ways it is set up in Pounds and Pence so easier to work with than Etsy. I am having trouble photographing some green fabric that I have dyed. So have listed one item and now going to take the dog out!
